Signature mani

If I have a signature mani, it's like this: several similar stamps on a gradient base. I've made many variations of this same design, which is easy to execute but looks very nice. On Christmas, for instance, I made several manis with a red gradient base and white snowflake stamps, but I didn't have my camera with me and couldn't photograph them. Anyway, here's another variation. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the materials, and now I can't remember which nail polishes I used for the gradient, but the stamps are from the image plate GCOCL K04.

Joululahjoja - Christmas pressies

Joulukuun saamattomuus kynsirintamalla johtui tästä projektista: maalasin sukulaisille lahjaksi kynttilöitä. Nuo on ihan Havin peruspöytäkynttilöitä, jotka maalasin akryyliväreillä. Tekniikkana toimi one stroke.

I didn't get much done on the nail front in December, and the reason is this: I wanted to give some hand-painted Christmas presents for my relatives. These are ordinary candles that you can get from any shop, and I painted them using acrylic colours and one stroke technique.
I more or less copied the poinsettia design from a pic I saw online, and also the rose design was heavily inspired by other designs, but the one with the leaves is my own invention. The poinsettia candles are covered with glitter powder, but unfortunately it doesn't show in the picture.

Painting these was a lot of fun, and I was very pleased with the outcome. And what's more important, I didn't have to spend much money on my Xmas pressies this year! :)
